The short version
We collect the bare minimum needed to run the service: your account info, the content you upload, who follows whom, and basic analytics. We don't sell your data. We don't serve third-party ads. We'll never sell or share information about minors with marketers.
1. What we collect
- Account data: email, username, display name, optional avatar and bio.
- Content you upload: videos, thumbnails, scoring data, team rosters, player photos, walkout songs.
- Activity: likes, comments, follows, watch progress, deal-watchlist saves.
- Device + log data: IP, browser/user-agent, basic page load metrics. Used for security and reliability, not advertising.
2. How we use it
To run the service: rendering videos, computing stats, delivering notifications, supporting your account. We use Cloudflare Stream for video transcoding and delivery, Cloudflare R2 for blob storage, Supabase for the database and auth, and Resend for transactional email. Each of those vendors sees only the data needed for their specific job.
3. Minors
GameLens is built around youth baseball, so most content involves minors. By default, content involving minors is visible only to team-affiliated users (coaches, parents, claimed players). Public posting requires explicit coach action via the Publish flow.
Accounts are for people 13 and older, and GameLens is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. What we hold about younger players is what their coach or parent enters on the team, with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email support@gamelens.tv and we will delete it.
People outside a team see its players by first name and last initial (for example, “Sam L.”) on rosters, stats, box scores, play-by-play, and live scoreboards. The team's coaches and parents see full names. Names a coach types into a video title or on-screen graphic appear as typed.
Parents can request removal of any photo, video, or statistical record involving their child by contacting their coach directly or emailing support@gamelens.tv. Removal requests are honored within 7 days.

4. Cookies + tracking
We use first-party cookies for session management (login state) and a minimal analytics ping to measure page loads + errors. No third-party trackers, no ad pixels.
5. Push notifications
Browser and mobile push notifications are off by default. You can opt in via Settings → Notifications and revoke at any time. We use Web Push (VAPID) for browsers and Expo / APNs / FCM for mobile.
6. Data retention
Account data stays until you delete the account (Settings → Delete account, on the web or in the app). Deleting it removes your profile, personal videos, comments, likes, follows, messages, and team memberships right away, along with the video files, photos, and chat images stored with them. Videos you uploaded to a team belong to that team and stay with it. Copies in backups and logs age out within 30 days; aggregate / anonymized stats may persist.
7. Your rights
You can edit your profile or delete your account from Settings. For a copy of your data, email support@gamelens.tv. If you're in the EU/UK or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / CCPA — email support@gamelens.tv to exercise them.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth (bcrypt). All traffic is HTTPS. Database access is gated by Row-Level Security so a user can only read / write rows they should have access to. We'll notify affected users within 72 hours of any confirmed breach.
9. Contact
Questions, removal requests, or rights exercises: support@gamelens.tv.
10. Changes
Material changes are announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
